artconnexion

artconnexion is an independan organisation created in 1994 by Bruno Dupont and Amanda Crabtree, in Lille. It’s aims : "to set up art projects using its international institutional or non institutional network, and to accompany artists and allow them to benefit from this network, and in general, encourage the development of contemporary art". The new building situated in 9 rue du Cirque, Lille serves as a space for exhibitions, events, and encounters with the public and artists.

artconnexion’s artistic activity in the public sphere has been reinforced since 2000 when the organisation was invited to become a mediator-producer for the New Patrons programme of the Fondation de France. This programme enables people to actively commission art works for specific purposes in the public realm. 

artconnexion organises artist’s residencies based on individual projects (Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Scotland, etc.) proposed to French artists or artists from elsewhere.
